My Story

I have a very vivid memory of my 1st grade sleepover in 2001. I had P!nk in my parents' 6 disk CD changer and I was dancing in my living room because it was my birthday. It was 4:55pm and I kept running up to the storm door to see if my friends had arrived to my sleepover that started at 5. The best part? My mom was making me my favorite - funfetti boxed cake. Every time I make boxed cake mix, I think of this memory. Unfortunately, boxed cake mix in the store is terrible now. Due to shrink-flation and improving profit margins, they've shrunk ingredients, substituted ingredients out for junk, and now, most of the "ingredients", I can't even pronounce anymore. The cake makes half of what it used to make and it look and tastes awful. Boxed cake mix should bring convenience without satisfying ingredients, flavor, or quantity. I hope my cake mixes can bring you joy and nostalgia, whenever you're ready to bake.
